Belated post to thank everyone who came down to our album launch at St Pancras and also to the brilliant Rhys Lewis and Haley Glennie-Smith for their awesome performances. What a top night! Fantastic to have so many of our near and dear there to celebrate the release of ‘Bonfire’s Mark’, which is now up on itunes. Our new single ‘Young Hearts’ was released today on itunes! You can download it here, along with another new tune of ours, a french song called ‘Ce N’est Pas Rien’ that we’ve been playing at recent gigs. Thanks to everyone who came down to the launch last week.
In other news, our album launch has now been set for Wednesday 17th April at St Pancras Old Church in London – more details coming soon but for now please save the date!

Last week was a big week for us. Two amazing shows supporting Brandi Carlile at Islington Assembly Hall (check out all the pics on our facebook page, also this video of Holly singing a duet with Brandi in her encore, on ‘You’ve Got a Friend’) and we also have a brand new video up and about, for ‘Young Hearts’, courtesy of the brilliant Ed Christmas. In other news, we are delighted that the beauteous and velvet-voiced Haley Glennie-Smith will be playing a set at our single launch on 28th Feb, along with Mr James McArthur, at The Islington. Should be a good night!

Plans for our 3rd single release ‘Young Hearts’ are well underway! The song is being released for download on 4th March, with the launch show happening on Thurs 28th Feb at The Islington, a wonderful venue tucked away behind Angel tube. Brilliant folkie James McArthur will be joining us to play a set on the night, plus other acts to be announced. It’s also a FREE show, with no door entry, so you can save your pennies for the bar!
Meanwhile we’re filming the video for the single next Sunday (27th Jan) in North London and there is still space for extras to get involved, so any budding actors or show-offs should contact us at info@hollyandthewolf.com if you’re interested in taking part.

We also have some limited edition copies of the physical product with Tony Johnson’s fantastic artwork available, which will be available to buy at gigs or by emailing us at info@hollyandthewolf.com
In other news, we had some more radio play for Marzipan Reindeer at BBC 6Music at the weekend, courtesy of Chris Hawkins, as well as a lovely feature about us in The Positive, with Holly talking to journalist Richard Bence about the DIY approach to releasing music. Our EP launch gig also featured in Time Out, with our sound described as “piano balladry for fans of Fiona Apple and Regina Spektor, with understated musicality and a dry wit”. Ooh.

Thanks to everyone who came down to our EP launch on Wednesday night. Luckily the world didn’t end despite the ominous date (12.12.12) and we had a fantastic gig with the added bonus of sets from Cara Sebastian and Rob Marr. You can see all the pictures on our facebook page.
Meanwhile Holly was interviewed by Ruth Barnes for her breakfast show on Amazing radio earlier this week and played a solo version of Marzipan Reindeer for Ruth while in the studio. You can hear the interview and Holly’s performance on air here (it’s about 2 hrs 18 mins into the show).

At last! We can finally reveal the video for our soon to be released first single, Holding Me Back. The vid was shot this summer by the brilliant Ed Christmas (EDC Productions). Big thanks to Ed, also to Ruth Ward, Mollie Pottas and Mia Parker for their help on the day, plus all the lovely people in Kennington for not heckling us too much – oh and apologies to the vicar who thought he had forgotten about a wedding…!
